Free Software Licenses - A collection of some important free software licenses

I collected, in a unique file, some important free software licenses. This collection can be considered as a reference list, which should be useful when it is needed to operate a software release. Together with it, I supply also a text file containing an internal notice message, which I use in my shell-line programs. I hope that this file can be useful for you too.

BSD - The BSD License

The BSD License is a non copyleft, (permissive) free software, and open source license originating at the University of California at Berkeley. It is considered as a base for several permissive licenses. Moreover, in comparison to other standard copyright and copyleft free software licenses, it has been referred as a copycenter license for its very simple and "liberal" few clauses. This license is compatible with all versions of the GNU GPL/LGPL License.
